PolyTrack is a fast low-poly racing game with a twist: you can race a car you have customized on a track you built yourself. Inspired by TrackMania, it is all about the clock, chasing faster times across loops, jumps, and high-speed straights where every millisecond counts. You can stick to the official courses or fire up the built-in editor and design your own, then share it with a community that is constantly putting out new tracks. Restarts are near instant, so a mistake costs you almost no time before your next attempt. It plays free in the browser.

How to play

The easiest way in is to start on the premade tracks and learn how the car handles before you build anything. PolyTrack rewards precision over flooring the throttle, so reading each corner and jump matters more than raw speed. Driving uses the standard keys, and you can restart in an instant whenever a run goes wrong. Once you are comfortable, the real depth opens up in the editor, where you are not just beating your own time but learning to build tracks that flow for speed.

The track editor

The built-in level editor is where PolyTrack stands apart. You place ramps, curves, and obstacles to shape a course, then test drive it and tweak until it feels right. Simple straight tracks are the easiest place to begin, but with practice you can build courses that launch your car over mountains. Finished tracks can be exported and shared as codes, and the community swaps designs and tips on forums, so there is an endless supply of new courses to race.

Ghost races and leaderboards

PolyTrack turns time trials into competition without needing live opponents. When you pick a track you can see the best lap times set by verified players and measure yourself against them. Better still, you can select a rival from the leaderboard and race their ghost, a replay of their run that drives alongside you so you can see exactly where you gain or lose time. You can also ghost your own best lap and try to shave off a few decimals, which makes chasing a personal record genuinely addictive.

Tracks, seasons and customization

There is a healthy set of official tracks to work through: seven summer courses, five winter, and five desert, plus an ever-growing pile of community creations. The season only changes the scenery around the track, so the driving itself stays consistent across snow, sand, or summer courses alike. You can also personalize your car with primary and secondary colors, frame and rim colors, paint patterns, and exhaust pipes, so your ride looks the part while you chase records.

PolyTrack also has a mobile app. Keep playing here, or get it from Google Play.
